By: Eirik Johnson
Was born in Seattle in 1974. He currently living in Boston, Massachusetts. His work has been displayed in many top Museums around the United States.

When first looking at the photograph, some might just thinks its the botton of a tree and the hole is how the tree grew, or juat that the roots grew elevated above ground. Some also might think it's a home for an animal.. It's a homey, warming place just right for that certain animal. The intention of this photographer was to make a series of pictures portraying animal holes. There are many different types, large and small, all in different areas and settings. I definitely think this a great portrayal of different homes. It may be small to us but for whoever is living in it, it's probably a great place and perfect for them.
